The Kotoka International Airport Dog Kennel project was today January 30, 2020 commissioned and handover to the Client, Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority.
In a brief ceremony to handover the facility, the Commissioner of Customs, Col. Kwadwo Damoah expressed his gratitude to the Government of Denmark and DANIDA for their support to Customs Division of GRA over the years. He indicated the wonderful offices constructed by Berock Ventures Ltd. was to complement the Dog Kennel for the Kotoka International Airport.
Madam Brigit La Cour Madsen, the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Denmark expressed her gratitude to all stakeholders for their contribution to the project being a success. She thanked Berock Ventures Ltd. for quality of work and quick pace with which works were executed. She encouraged the Custom team to put the facility to great use to help curb the transportation of contraband goods in and out of the country. She again encouraged the team to provide proper maintenance to this and other facilities provided to the Customs Division of the GRA.
Col. Kwadwo Damoah in his remark reassured all stakeholders that the Customs team shall put the facility to effective use and shall provide the necessary maintenance to keep the offices and Dog Kennel functional for the long haul.
The project was completed in 6 weeks ahead of the contract duration of 4 months. The office structure consists of a kitchen, two storage facility, Male and Female washrooms and Changing rooms and Two offices. The facility was completed with Electrical, Air Conditioning and Voice and Data Connectivity installations to provide a pleasant ambience for the team catering for the dogs.
